Responsive Leadership

Nicole Martin
Watch Bible Studies on RightNow Media
In this nine-session course, Rev. Dr. Nicole Martin challenges pastors to reject cultural leadership values and follow the way of Jesus in their leadership through sacrifice, surrender, and service.

What does it mean to lead with compassion and presence?

But if we want to be leaders who are present and empathetic, we have to crucify the toxic practices we’ve learned and adopt practices that are rooted in the teachings and example of Jesus.

Why this course?

In this course, Dr. Martin will challenge you to rethink your leadership values and practices so you can lead the people God has entrusted to you effectively and with compassion. Based on her book Nailing It, Dr. Martin will explore how responsive leadership requires us to adjust what we value and how we define success, helping us and the people we lead to truly flourish.

Crucify the Toxic Aspects of Leadership

Crucified leadership offers a way forward for Christian leaders to emulate Christ and be empowered by the Spirit. Dr. Martin will invite you to remove the toxicity we often learn from the culture and adopt the ways of Jesus.

Redefine What It Means to Be a Successful Leader

Success isn’t determined merely by a ministry’s metrics, as many would have us believe. Instead of measuring success the way the world does, Dr. Martin will challenge us to pursue success God’s way.

Align Your Leadership Values with the Example of Christ

If we want Christ to transform the way we lead, then our old views of leadership must change. When we are willing to die to ourselves and magnify Christ, our leadership will more closely reflect his.

Understand the dangers of exclusive loyalty and work to reframe loyalty through the unity of the Spirit.
